SA does not lack people with skills, experience, or willingness to work. What we lack is coordinated implementation, accountability, and long-term planning accompanied by implementation immediately. Instead of spending billions merely creating and sustaining dependency, the R370 social grant system should be redirected into a national public works and industrial revival program that creates employment, restores infrastructure, and rebuilds communities where these people come from. Across the East Rand and many other parts of the country, factories and industries that once supported entire communities now stand abandoned. Yet many former artisans, technicians, engineers, machine operators, and tradespeople are still alive and capable of contributing. Their knowledge must not be wasted. These experienced workers should train unemployed youth and inexperienced workers through apprenticeship like in the old days and mentorship programs, rebuilding both skills and productivity at the same time. Umjanji Rail infrastructure and stations should be restored to proper operating standards, improving public transport, reducing crime around neglected stations, and reconnecting economic hubs. Remove all informal shacks around the railroad. Highways and municipal roads should be maintained consistently through large-scale employment programs focused on cleaning, grass cutting, drainage maintenance, pothole repairs, and public safety. Ngoba man power ikhona. Public parks, sports grounds, and recreational spaces should also be revived and permanently maintained. Functional public spaces improve community pride, reduce vandalism, and create healthier environments for families and young people, making sure illegal immigrants go back home because they are the ones who don't care about cleanliness look at all CBDs where these people are found. The current tender system must collapse completely, Too often, inflated contracts, corruption, and politically connected middlemen prevent resources from reaching actual workers and communities. Procurement should prioritize transparency, performance, local skills development, and direct community participation rather than enrichment through unnecessary intermediaries. SA already has the human capacity to rebuild itself without competing with illegal immigrants. The skills exist. The labor exists. The infrastructure can be repaired. What is needed is leadership that focuses less on political interests and more on productive employment, skills transfer, maintenance, and national development. If we can organize like this to make all these things possible, we are going to create an SA that depends on its people, not politicians. The power is ours.
