I watched the press conference of PMLN women Parliamentarians and Minister regarding the deep fake video campaign against Azma Bokhari. As a Woman and lawyer, I also condemn this vilification campaign against Azma Bokhari. I want to use this opportunity to remind PMLN leaders that respect of all women irrespective of their political affiliation is important. PMLN leaders have a history of attacking women in public office, and associated social media accounts have undertaken targeted campaign against Bushra Bibi, Kanwal Shauzab MNA Zartaj Gul Wazir and many others with impunity. PMLN must carry out introspection and identification of those who run hate campaigns against women belonging to PTI within their ranks. Last year Kanwal Shauzab MNA and I were the target of the most horrific and filthy deep fake video campaign campaign on social media platforms.
