In places like the U.S. or Canada, there’s less optimism, but if you look at places like Brazil or Mexico, young people are more optimistic. For positivity and optimism, it seems that it’s not really about the objective circumstances of your life. It’s more about whether your life feels like it’s going the way you hoped it would—and whether you think you’re going to do as well as, or better than, your parents.
