The sticker carries the message: “A bell is not a bell until you ring it.” It’s a reminder to use our voices for those who need support. Father, connect those who have extra with those who are in need with soft hearts, open hands, & let generosity flow the way You intended it to. Lord, I ask for Your protection over the children who are out of school & spending time outdoors. Place a barrier of protection around them & keep them safe from harm. I pray You bring calm & clarity to those who are stressed, overwhelmed, or burdened today. Yesterday was $5 Friday… and we only received two donations. Just two. And if I’m being honest, that one stung a little. Because out here it’s been cold, cold, cold — the kind of cold that seeps into your bones. The kind where propane tanks empty fast and straw has to be replaced every single day just to keep little bodies warm and safe through the night. Every day right now costs more than most people realize. Propane. Straw. Feed. Gas. Supplies. And tomorrow is February… which means all of our bills hit at once. And the hard truth is this — if we don’t pay those bills, the rescue ceases to exist. No sanctuary. No warm beds. No second chances. That thought alone keeps me up at night. But today is $10 Saturday, and we’re choosing hope. Hope that our village shows up. Hope that the people who love these animals help us keep going. And the world has felt a little quieter ever since. You know, Liam, there’s not a single day that goes by without us thinking of you. You left such a huge mark on our lives, on our hearts — far beyond the music. Because you weren’t just an incredible artist. You were a bright soul — genuine, kind, generous, always there for everyone else. After many long hours of trying to reassure my daughter, Rafif, that the medicine in her mother’s hand is there to help her recover and come back to us healthy, I’m grateful to say that she finally understood. The sweetest moment was when Rafif started kissing her mother’s hand, as if she were praying for her to get well soon. These may seem like small gestures, but for a little girl carrying so much fear and love in her heart, they mean everything. Rafif wanted to be part of this video herself. Again and again, she tried to hold the phone in her tiny hands, eager to help record this special moment. What made her even happier was the arrival of her aunt and her cousins, who came to spend a few days with us. Seeing her play and laugh with children her own age gave her a little escape from the harsh reality we continue to live through. Thank you to everyone who keeps our family in your prayers and stands by our side. Your kindness and support give Rafif and our family the strength to keep going. ❤️

Here is how you can install an open-source, enterprise-grade RAG system on your server (with the best document understanding I've seen.) First, something obvious to anyone trying to sell RAG in the market: You are crazy if you think companies will let their data travel to a hosted model. No one wants to send their data anywhere (those who do haven't found an alternative.) Every single company would rather have an air-gapped system with no internet access. GroundX is an open-source RAG system that you can run on your servers (or any cloud provider, as long as you have access to GPUs) and works without a network. (If the military wants to do RAG, this is precisely what they will be looking for.) I installed GroundX on my AWS account and recorded a video to show you how to use it. There are two services you can use: 1. Ingest: This service uses a pretrained vision model to ingest and understand your knowledge base. 2. Search: This service combines text and vector search with a fine-tuned re-ranker model to retrieve information from your knowledge base. A quick note about the Ingest service: 99% of people think they need better "retrieval" mechanisms. I think they need better "ingestion." That's where this service comes in! Ingest "understands" your documents in a way I haven't seen before. After you try it, you'll realize why showing your LLM your raw documents is a bad idea. In the video, I use a free tool called X-Ray to test a document and understand how the Ingest service breaks it down.
