All the animosity between the elves and the orcs comes from the fact that elves only sing poetic ballads and orcs prefer jazzy musical numbers.

"We don't wanna go to war today, but the master of the lash says nay nay nay!" Great song. My son and I just recently watched this again.

An entire song arising from one line in the book ("Where there's a whip, there's a WILL" IIRC). Anybody else get the idea that the orcs in that version were just punch clock villains?

Respect to the reference there Hah. Well having been created primarily to be evil and do what they were told I guess they were punch clock villains hehe

I was *just* thinking about this song last night. I’d forgotten the 70s percussion and background.

I love how one of the orcs is just Beetle Bailey.
