If we're gonna monitor everybody then we need to monitor EVERYBODY. No, I don't mean body cams one can shut off, with an internal review and nice *accidental* lost recordings or "internal investigations" of orgs investigating themselves, I mean a truly auditable public database that anyone can audit and review. At minimum, anyone surveillance others needs to be surveilled themselves every second to ensure they cannot abuse it with unincentivized 3rd party reviewers of all decisions made and activity relevant to the surveillance screened. No "good for thee, not for me".

I definitely think public officials need to be under constant surveillance whether at their desk, we need to have logs of every phone call and everything they work for us. So we should be able to see the people that we put in charge doing their work at least at the desk.
