Nowadays, certain individuals claiming proximity to the BJP repeatedly abuse and insult Punjabi Hindus. They brand us as extremists and spread false narratives that Hindus in Punjab attacked Sikhs. This stems solely from the fact that we Punjabi Hindus openly state the ground reality: Sikhism is a distinct and separate religion, and we do not consider Sikhs as Hindus. Such distorted narratives create unnecessary tension and disturb the harmony between the two communities in Punjab. Yesterday, my brother Mohit .k asked 🚩Harbir Singh Suri _ हरबीर सिंह सूरी_JAI SRI RAM! ji — who has strong RSS connections and is followed by PM Modi ji — during a live discussion: “Sir, according to you, are Sikhs Hindus?” He gave a clear and straightforward reply: “No, I am a proud Sikh.” I truly respect him for his honesty. I humbly request all Hindus to distance themselves from such elements. Witnessing their suffering, Motiram Mehra (also known as Baba Moti Ram Mehra), a devoted follower of the Sikh Gurus, secretly delivered a glass of hot milk to the Sahibzades, each night for three nights, bribing guards with his family's possessions. Upon discovery, Wazir Khan ordered Motiram, his wife Bibi Bholi, his elderly mother, and their seven year old son to be crushed to death in a kohlu (traditional oil or sugarcane press) epitomizing the ultimate price paid by this Hindu for an act of compassion toward the Guru's sons.
