IIT Bombay Professor Suryanarayana Doolla has been suspended until the investigation into the death of the Dalit student is completed. But today, something different happened inside the IIT campus. Students from various backgrounds came out in support of Professor Doolla and stood in solidarity with him. According to the IIT administration, the student was allegedly caught cheating by Professor Doolla. My view: If these allegations are true, Professor Doolla should be reinstated and compensated.
