Kate, have you read MY HEART IS A CHAINSAW and DON’T FEAR THE REAPER by Stephen Graham Jones? I ask because you mention that horror has strong women role models, and the much-loved protagonist of these books is Jade Daniels, a slasher-obsessed teen outcast & unlikely final girl.

On Sale Now!

That's cool and all, but Bob Seger is the real win here.

This video was just a humble brag for my incredible shirt

You’re my new fav person.

I was waiting for this one being posted here 👏🏻 I think people who are afraid of horror for the most part are also afraid of facing reality or dealing with difficult and existential topics that can be present in the genre. Life, death, post-death, ghosts, anguish, guilt...

Horror is a great escape in which nothing is off limits. The wilder and, sometimes the more offensive, the better. And fantastic actors like you, Kate, really take these roles to another level. And they are just friggin FUN TO WATCH!! Keep bringing it!! 🩸 🔪 🪓 ❤️

The thing about horror for me, is that there are far more terrifying things in the real world to *actually* be scared of. Horror is, like you say, an escape and it allows you to live in another reality for the duration of the film/tv show.

love this! makes me admire you even more ❤️

@DerrickWalkerJ2 Love the Bob Segar shirt

For me, horror was a huge creative gateway in general. Unlike fantasy, horror feels like the bridge between the real and unreal. There are endless possibilities and always something new, which is terrifying in another way: fear of the unknown. In horror, I have never felt limits.
