These old trees are dying 🌳😓 But it wasn't the Ivy that has been cut away that is killing them the culprit is simply old age🌿 These Alder trees only live for about as long as we do and so by cutting the Ivy🌿 off the only thing the well meaning culprit has achieved is to deny wildlife refuge and nutrition 💮🍇 The trees are still going to go for the long sleep but they would have continued to stand and support the Ivy allowing it to do it's work for years to come. Right now the Ivy in Ireland is begining to flower and will sustain 🐝 & other insects well into late Autumn 🍂 These flowers will be followed by fat-rich berries 🍇 that will keep birds going through the winter Ivy does not kill trees. It is an essential part of our natural ecosystem so please leave it be 🌳🌳🍂💜🍂🌳🌳

During my yesterday jog in Upperhill, which is our financial district, I came across two spots where sewer is being released into storm water drainage, which will ultimately reach Nairobi Rivers. 2. There is simply no way we are going to deal with cleaning Nairobi Rivers before we deal with Nairobi sewer system and garbage, both end up in the rivers. 3. If this is happening in the financial district, imagine informal settlement?
