Thought experiment for Sid Seixeiro: since “Hockey is for everyone”, let’s have a Christian appreciation night. Every NHL player & employee MUST wear a cross on their uniforms. Anyone who won’t will be deemed Christophobic, full of hate, canceled & fined a million $. Deal?

@Sid_Seixeiro I see I am late to the party. What they mean about being inclusive and diverse is not the same as what we mean. Being inclusive and diverse is accepting everyone even those who have a different religion, skin color, intelligence, etc. What he is talking about is conformity.

@Sid_Seixeiro Dead on, Charles

@Sid_Seixeiro Why can players take a knee and find support, but when it comes to a jersey that offends an individuals religious or any other type of belief, they need to put those aside. Support LGBTQ all you want, but why is forcing everyone to also support an okay thing?

@Sid_Seixeiro Some flags are more equal than other flags.

@Sid_Seixeiro Agreed!! So tired of being expected not to just accept other’s choices, but to embrace them regardless of our own beliefs! I love your idea of asking everyone to wear a cross on Christian night…let’s do it! Ha! Hell will freeze over first. 😡

@Sid_Seixeiro Yea they would never even consider the idea. Mainly, trying to elucidate the absurdity of demanding everyone espouse someone else’s ideology.

@Sid_Seixeiro How about hockey in hockey night, jerseys with the team logo and players' names and numbers and we leave ALL politics outside of the game.

@Sid_Seixeiro Revolting! The USA has ALWAYS aimed at being a country WHICH DOES NOT HAVE A RELIGIOUS TEST for full citizenship, nor have we ever set any established state religion! When the far-right rants about "founders' values," NOT ONE of those major leaders wanted ANY religion required!

@Sid_Seixeiro uh, I believe you missed the entire point of the post

@Sid_Seixeiro These people don't understand that NONE of this has to do with "inclusion." It is "the presence of our group and ONLY our group, to the exclusion of everyone else."
