That does make a lot of sense. Niko is a storied player with a legacy as one of the greatest riflers to ever do it. Having high expectations of him and criticising him is perfectly reasonable especially when he consistently underperforms in grand finals.

Couldn’t agree more with this take. You see it in the world of football / traditional sports. The best players in the game, when absent have to be scrutinised as they are held to a higher standard. Especially as they are usually linked with a team’s success.

Criticizing niko? I've watched games in which Anders has praised niko throughout the game when he is playing well. Almost too much praise I would say. But I love his casting and I am a big fan of niko, Hope he starts performing in grand finals for once.

dont let niko glazers stop you from criticising. when a player who is meant to be one of the spearheads of the team is consistently falling off in important matches, you are allowed, and i'd say you're obligated to mention it. it's also clearly not hate when you're pointing out bad plays, whiffs etc.

I think having a biased opinion can make fans heat up, which is better in terms of gaining interest/engagement. I didn't watch the grand finals, but I have seen you cast in many matches. You have nothing but my respect

He's not even worth a comment, casting was great, and it's obvious to anyone with a few brain cells that it was because we expect niko to deliver, especially when he was close to MVP.

I've been a @NiKoCS_ fan since 2017 & what Anders is saying is absolutely correct. We expect better from niko, Niko before the final was the highest rated player for Falcons in this tournament but his performance fell off the cliff in the final again. (1/2)

As a massive NiKo fan, I don't get people complaining about your comments. I am right there with you every grand final where it goes wrong for NiKo, I am just hoping something will click for him and he'll do what we all know he can. It's immensely frustrating.

So, on my point on this. I say this as a mongolz/g2/Lynn fan. But my main issue was just as an audio viewer, im not a watcher alot of the time, when it is such a frequent topic in the cast, it detracts from the understanding of the rest of the game. Im aware of the expectations

Didn’t watch the video but you and every other caster need to learn how to pronounce kyousuke. It comes across as ignorant when we hear 10 variations of his name in 1 map because y’all are too lazy to take 30 seconds of your time to google how to pronounce kyousuke.

I think people generally don’t understand what the casting job entails. It’s normal to question performance of a team or a player when it’s valid to expect more of them based of their previous performance.

I agree, Niko hasn't shown his full potential, he's been very unlucky with certain shots, even the one in Cave against Legacy on Ancient, 9/10 times that player gets shot.
