Niceness is a superpower. I know some people think it’s a weakness. I don’t buy that. Maybe I’d be worth more money if I were more ruthless. But I can’t do it. I have to be nice to people, it’s just who I am. And here’s what I’ve found, every time in my career where being nice seemed like it cost me something, it actually helped me. Created a softer landing. Made the hard moments easier to get through. Be nice.
