Well said mate. When it comes to IRL streaming, the loudest, most obnoxious morons sadly reap the greatest rewards. Scarcely a week goes by without seeing a streamer who's thrown their moral compass out the window doing something awful for cheap views.

I completely agree, very valid take on the situation. Nuisance streaming is a plague, but instead of being rightfully called out, it’s being encouraged with awards and special treatment… If you don’t want to be on camera, there should be no further discussion, period.

True 🤝

To say I whole heartedly agree would be a massive understatement. Poignant words that I hope resonate. Connor has been a FORCE redefining IRL streaming by providing positive experiences, raising money for charity, sharing culture, and being polite and respectful to everyone.

what are your thoughts about your friends abusing animals?

it often feels like IRL Streaming is one big race to the bottom and it's really dishearenting to see people acting like kids and making it big by putting down, belittling, and entrapping people just minding their own business Twitchcon was really eye-opening for me 💀 big yuck

wise and hot

Absolutely agree. I wish we'd stop rewarding horrible behavior with attention and fame.

If I was making the type of content some of these folks do my mom/aunts would be whooping my ass No consequences will make people really weird, man

Facts 🤝 thank you Connor ❤️

Well fucking said honestly

Thank you for saying this. It's especially disheartening when some of these obnoxious streamers get rewarded for such disrespectful behaviours. Really hope these folks get their just desserts

The three words that hit the hardest here and really shows just how aggravating it feels “They Monetized Life”

Incredibly well said. IRL content can be done right with respect to people involved. Invasive streaming where people harass the public and be a nuisance is something I simply can't tolerate, and is becoming a genuine problem in public spaces. And to have this behavior rewarded is an even more horrific issue that sets a standard on platforms and snowballs it into even worse situations.

So fucking well said

I love the idea of IRL streaming to do what you talked about. The good things like show other people new parts of the world, see new cultures, just hang out outside... but the landscape of most IRL is just so antagonistic & negative. It's why I love how respectful your IRL streams always are! I love the kindness 🙏

Free Kaya

i 100% agree, i was harrassed by a streamer because i was in a wheelchair and when i said i didnt want to be on camera they kept doing it stating "its a public place i can do this" for 30 minutes, calling me out for not wanting to be on camera, this was at a con too. anoying

as much as i agree that irl streamers are cringe asf but this whole ironmouse and rakai shit has been blown so out of proportion. mate you were in the background smiling as the interaction happened wouldn't you have stepped in if it was as fucked as you make it out to be??

valid

Real and true everyone deserves to be treated like a human being at the end of the day. Respect people if someone communicates they are uncomfortable not make them feel less of a person for having feelings. I feel as if people try way too much to justify consequences for other people’s actions which should not be the case at all.

Why do you keep going to the award show that's a breeding ground for drama every year it happens

HARD👏 MOTHER👏 FREAKIGN👏 AGREED👏 it's not content, its just annoying

I've enjoyed a lot of IRL streams from @CDawgVA, @ironmouse, and Rob. I got to see many cool places I'll never get to visit otherwise. But I am especially impressed with how they treat their fans. Even when getting mobbed they are respectful and kind. More need to be like them.👍

Watching the footage of what happened to Ironmouse, it sucked cuz as uncomfortable as that situation was, she doesn't even have the luxury of being able to walk away.

fr it's gross

💯, I can't stand streamers that do this. It gives streamers that want to take their communities on real adventures a bad wrap automatically in public. I've seen situations become dangerous and its so heartbreaking. Why people don't get perma banned for this I'll never understand.

The normalization of asking people invasive questions and questioning why others find it disrespectful and rude, is beyond me. So many streamers act like a bunch of high schoolers, showing no respect for the lives of others around them. (Not all of course)

“World’s shittest Guantanamo Bay interview” sent me. But this is absolute facts. Some folks need to be better about IRL streaming that they do not need to engagement farm people in-person for content to perform well.

The problem with majority of streaming is that none of these people actually have anything interesting to say or do. So when they have to fill all these hours to make money, they end up doing some of the most cringe and repulsive stuff due to lack to creativity

W take as usual

I find it funny that the captions decided to be stuck here for a solid minute when you were saying the complete opposite LOL!

Such a spectacle. Living life with the intent to be clip farmed vs for enjoyment.

Well said. These streamers aren't rushing Mouse to have an honest human interaction. They're trying to farm her, and that would be fine IF she gave permission and IF they asked. Because American legal says it's okay to film public places, it extends to "anyone at streamer awards is ok with being on anyone's IRL live stream". No. We all know what you're doing. Ask permission because it's the RIGHT thing to do, NOT because you have to.
