Thoughts on this yellow card that got issued here?

White didn’t change their line at all…looks like Orange veers into them with full visibility of the situation. Collision looks bad, but Orange doesn’t get priority to the disc just b/c they are offense

White runs on the same line the entire time. Orange tries to make a play and cuts off the defender. I'd argue clean play or orange gets the card.

I think the easiest way for people to check themselves is to reverse who is on O and D. If your answer on who is at fault changes depending on who is on O vs D, then your initial answer is most likely wrong. There is no inherent benefit of the doubt offense has or should get.

If white is on offense and is trying to catch it would it still be yellow card on them? I don’t think this should be a yellow card in general, but if we are giving white a yellow card here for defense than it should be the same if they are on offense

Agreed. It's the same thing happening in the NFL with roughing the passer and such. It's getting harder and harder to play defense because of these rulings

White had the position the whole time and stays on the same track with Orange having the vision of where their opponet is. Sucks that an injury happened, but that was good defense on a bad throw (White has it covered even before the throw). Reactionary from the observers

Doesn't matter tbh. Like I can be directly behind the person I'm defending and I can go up and get the disc first. But if I land on top of the other person after I get the disc, that's clearly dangerous and will result in a card.
