Wow! The only good thing I can say is, that you saw how he really is instead of wasting time. If I was there and overheard I would just paid your meal and take you out for dessert 🍨 and told that guy she’s mine now. 🤭. Nah but hopefully you find a good man.

He was so wrong. You offered to pay which says you didn’t assume he was going to. For him to get all “you’re just trying to get a free meal” what an asshole. If you were charming and conversation was good buying you dinner is money well spent. It may be old school but chivalrous.
