Hinges are outside then and even if you put commercial door hinges ,on a residential house you could break those hinges off with a sledge hammer easily. Also if your door swung out , the weather would have access to a 1/8 gap all around your door. If you lived in cold weather that would not be good, condensation would freeze your door shut. If you got alot of snow overnight, you wouldn't be able to push your door open in the morning

If someone wants to get in your house the method if entry is irrelevant

Then hang a door that swings out . This isn’t rocket science.

I think it was designed like that for safety reasons. So that nothing can fall in front of it locking you in. If something falls blocking the door you can move it and open the door. The second one adds to what you were saying. In an emergency, fire or police can kick it in.

If the hinges were on the outside, anyone can just take your door off

You dont want the hinges on the outside buddy, only takes a screwdriver and a hammer to take the pins out and remove the door in about 30 seconds if it was on the outside..

Because you would be blocked by any number of things outside the house from getting out if the door swung outward. Snow would be a good example.

Then the hinges would be exposed you dumb cunt

because the hinges are exposed on the outside. Inward doors hide the hinges inside the frame. And practically, outward doors need clearance to swing, which is a problem in tight hallways or crowded entryways. Inward doors just need the space inside the room,

Because the door hinges would be out and they could just remove the hinge bolts and get in. A door swinging open would be like a car door swinging in it makes no sense it’s nothing conspiratorial

Good idea then when you fall and break something or there’s a fire nobody can get to you or your kids and you can all burn to death in your fortress

A friend of mime was a master burglar at age 15. The FIRST thing he would point out is an "outswing" door - a door with the hinges on the outside. Pop those pins up with a screwdriver and... instant access.

Because when there’s 4 feet of snow after a blizzard, I can still get out. Also if there’s a fire, rescuers can get in. Also if someone malicious blocks my exit, I can still open the door. This guy is too paranoid for his own good.

So you don’t have to pull it open when you have groceries or get inside faster is something was behind you.

Yeah uhm. There's a door stop around the door. Without it the door would be able to just swing out and off of the hinges.

You can easily prop the door from the inside if you need extra security.

In swing doors allow a smaller porch or stoop outside. So you don’t have to back down the steps to allow the door to open.

It's simply because the doors are designed to lock the outside out, and can be opened easily from the inside.
