#Fact: This claim is misleading, however the fact is, 23-year-old Imtiaz Ahmad Magray of Tangimarg, Kulgam, who had confessed to aiding terrorists, jumped into the Vishwa River while leading Security Forces to a hideout and drowned. Video footage confirms he acted on his own. 2/n

According to reports, Imitiaz Ahmad Magray had confessed about knowledge of hideout with presence of two Pakistan terrorists. “Today morning when CASO was launched, deceased went to the hideout spot (near river bed) under close supervision via videographed drone, consequently, he jumped in VishawNallah and probably to tried to escape via river route.” 3/n

It is also learnt that he was aware of the first terrorist hideout that was busted by security forces in Tangmarg forest, where contact was established on April 23. Today while locating the second terrorist hideout, he jumped into the river and died by suicide, officials said, adding that legal proceedings have been started in this regard. 4/n

In a region as sensitive as Kashmir, where bloodshed has claimed thousands over decades, politicising every death without due investigation is not just irresponsible—it’s dangerous. It fuels tensions, undermines institutions, and emboldens terrorists. 5/n

Today when former CM @MehboobaMufti & Srinagar MP @RuhullahMehdi once again jumped the gun—alleging foul play in Kulgam based on hearsay before the postmortem, magisterial probe, or army clarification could even conclude. Is this politics or justice? 6/n

Let’s be clear-The Pahalgam terror attack was designed to sabotage peace, tourism, and communal harmony. But instead of standing with the nation against terror, some leaders are busy manufacturing outrage over unverified incidents. 7/n

Kashmir doesn’t need politicians who weaponise grief for political mileage. It needs leaders who build trust, support peace, and speak up against all forms of violence—in the past as well at present. 8/n
