When you stop negotiating down, you stop filtering for people who can’t afford you. And I don’t just mean financially, I mean energetically & psychologically too. People who can’t afford you NEED you to be smaller. They need the discount to confirm something they already believe which is that you’re not really that expensive / not that in demand / not that certain. So understand that your price is SUPPOSED to make some people uncomfortable. Plus, the right people won’t even blink, bc to them it’s normal. So stop lowering your price! Stop making yourself affordable to people who were always going to undervalue you! Let them go find someone cheaper.

Only borrow to fund acquisitions, start a business, in genuine emergencies, or to invest in education, because those are the only forms of debt that build you rather than destroy you. A man has potential up to 35, and after that it should be a stable life with certainty. It is hard in Zimbabwe, but elsewhere that is the rule. Studies in Europe, Asia and North America show that peak earning potential for men is usually reached between 35 and 45. Build wealth first and enjoy the luxuries later, because nothing is heavier than the debt of a lifestyle you cannot afford.
