Have you ever been told you look like someone? And you brace yourself to hear that you look like the ugliest person you can think of? This happened to me recently. I was buying cards at the Dollar Tree when the cashier just stared at me as if in a trance. "Do you ever get told you look like someone famous?" he asked. "No..." I replied, even though this has happened before. "You remind me of someone...let me think...this is really going to bother me..." he said, still gazing at me. I turned to the woman behind me and shrugged because now I was holding up the line. And she says..."Yeah, I see it... You do look like someone famous...." And now my face is red, and I am fully expecting him to say someone hideous because that's how my mind works. And finally, he snaps his fingers and says, "GOT IT! You look like Suzanne Somers! When she was younger!" I exhaled. I've heard this before. The lady behind him agrees that yes, that is who I look like. But in that moment, I was nervous, anxious, and worried that he would say I looked like that old lady from Throw Mama From the Train. Have you been told you look like someone famous?

I am BEYOND grateful!! This year was another teaching segment but WOW has my faith, knowledge, passion, and outlook on life blossomed. I think as the clock ticks and the years go by…. the less you speak, and the more you observe. Like I always say, remember that everything is happening FOR you and not TO YOU! I don’t take life as “serious” any longer. Life is too short to not live in your moment. Be you authentically. Love hard because you’re capable of it. And be braveeee, go after what scares you the most! There’s growth in that…. I think above all, make sure to prioritize self LOVE. ❤️‍🔥
