as fucked up as it is, that's kinda the whole thing of angel investing? 9/10 will flop/rug but that 1 "unicorn" that hits makes up for it when you size your bets properly writing 1 check a year stacks the odds against you, but since 99.9% aren't built for angel investing, it's prob the right choice for him given that check is backed by a strong thesis and conviction.
