Three dishonest points Erica Stanford and Christopher Luxon are making on the issue of the under 16 social media ban. 1. They're saying "if you care about kids you'll support the ban". The implication being that non-supporters don't care about kids. No person possessing a rational argument would have...

Today the Federal Government in conjunction with the Coalition and with no resistance from One Nation passed a bill against Hate Speech. They gagged debate again and rammed the laws through with no scrutiny where we could ask questions. This is a direct attack on Free Speech. For the third parliamentary week in a row the major parties have devoted Parliament to controlling you, not serving you, by shutting you down. The Misinformation Law, the Online Safety Bill and now Hate Speech are all designed to censor people and push back on government overreach. The hate speech law is dangerous because it threatens freedom of speech by allowing the government to censor or punish individuals for expressing opinions that might be deemed offensive. Such laws are often vague and subjective, leading to potential abuse and selective enforcement. This creates a chilling effect where people fear speaking openly, stifling debate and free expression. Instead of combating hate, these laws can be weaponized to silence dissent and suppress unpopular viewpoints, ultimately undermining democratic values and individual liberties. People First stood in defence of open discourse, free speech, and the democratic principles that underpin our society. Upholding these values will foster trust and preserve the liberties that Australians hold dear. I am disappointed that One Nation did not stand with me on this issue. These laws extend to all people including children. When a motion was moved to exclude children under 14 from these laws, Malcolm Roberts voted against it. Children should not be penalised for the actions or thoughts of their parents. I challenge Malcolm and Pauline to debate me on the reasons why they support this law. It is government overreach plain and simple. There are already state laws against violence and inciting violence. Under the constitution, the States are responsible for policing crime not the Federal Government. There is no need for these laws. They will only be used to censor you. #auspol

There is nothing more disgusting than a government using a parent's grief as cover to ram through bad law. Emma Mason is being used. You can see just how cruel the government is, on this interview with Deb Knight on A Current Affair last night. Her grief is being abused by governments and the media in Australia to justify removing access to social media from all children under the age of 16. Worse than that, they are using her to justify the most draconian internet access rules in the world, and it’s not just for kids. Every adult in Australia will have to age verify to get online to use sites like YouTube, facebook, Instagram, TikTok and X. Emma’s story, and that of her daughter is tragic, but the truth is: banning selective social media access will not stop bullying. It will not save the lives of children, and it does not absolve parental responsibility. Outsourcing parenting to government is both cowardly and foolish. Anyone who caught the ABC Lateline piece from 1975 released on this platform by John Adams earlier this week, would know, the Australian Government does not care about our children. We’ve seen real harm perpetrated on kids at government and government regulated childcare facilities. We see a rise in juvenile crime and weak bail laws, encouraging kids to perpetrate more and more extreme crime, and we know there still exists a culture of coverup when it comes to child harm among the establishment elite. The people who have drafted and passed the social media age ban laws are either not au fait with technology, or worse, they are authoritarian bullies who do not want any criticism from the only outlet available to the public – social media. Most disturbing to me though, is this misconceived belief that parents need the government to ban social media so they can parent their children. That is most certainly not the case. Mason further calls on even more government to provide the resources to help parents copilot the law. Because even she can see that it is an absolute mess that will cause harm. The government is an uncaring and incompetent machine, and most Australians seem completely unaware of those facts. The law only impacts the law abiding, and silly laws make for more lawlessness. The social media age ban and the subsequent requirement for adult identification is a silly law. It is possible to circumvent, and it will be circumvented. It will also breed a culture of lawlessness among our youth, and when they start to get away with these smaller ‘crimes’, they will indeed feel emboldened to test other laws. I am tired of Australian governments using tragedy to take more of our rights and freedoms away. We don’t need the government’s help to parent our children or lull us into the false sense of security that they keep us and our children safe. Go shopping in Melbourne and see how safe you feel. Watching the heartless machine use a mother’s grief is painful. It is disgusting. Albanese, Ley and the rest of the Australian political establishment should be ashamed of themselves, because they know exactly what they are doing. We must not stand for this. We must resist, push back and not comply. It is nothing more than a government sponsored attack on our privacy and free speech. It has nothing to do with child safety. We must parent our own children and educate them on how much we have already lost in the name of security and safety. We must show them that we don’t support the government, and maybe by the time they have grown up and are voting, we can start to elect people who deserve to be in leadership positions. Because the people we have right now are a danger to our future prosperity. This is not Australia. I just want Australia back.

📣🚨The Free Speech Union is mounting a legal challenge against the Government over its official definition of Islamophobia — now repackaged as 'anti-Muslim hatred' — and its appointment of a new 'tsar' to punish people who fall foul of it. This amounts to a Muslim blasphemy law via the back door. The definition is vague and subjective, and will be weaponised to silence legitimate criticism and debate about Islam, Muslims, and Islamic practices and history. The FSU’s General Secretary, Lord Young of Acton, said: “This is the most serious threat to free speech the Government has come up with so far — the only area in which it’s achieving any success. “If we don’t win this fight, tens of thousands of people a year could lose their jobs at the say-so of a Labour-appointed ‘tsar’. It’s dystopian.” Public bodies will adopt this definition — despite it being non-statutory — with the same zeal the police have shown in investigating and recording non-crime hate incidents (NCHIs). It is predicted by one of the drafters of the definition that it could lead to around 20,000 reports of 'anti-Muslim hostility' a year. At present, the number of recorded anti-Muslim hate crimes is around 4,000. In a free society, no religion should be shielded from legitimate criticism. This proposal places one faith above the rest. The Free Speech Union is bringing a legal challenge on two grounds. First, the definition relies on nebulous, legally undefined terms such as “negative and prejudicial stereotyping of Muslims”, making it incoherent and irrational — and ripe for weaponisation. Second, adopting such a definition cuts across legislation already enacted by Parliament and therefore breaches the public law principle known as “occupying the field”. Under this established public law doctrine, new regulations, put in place by ministers, must not replace existing legislation. It is constitutionally unlawful. In this case, the body responsible for protecting Muslims from discrimination is the Equality and Human Rights Commission, not an anti-Muslim hostility 'tsar'. Parliament voted to abolish blasphemy laws 18 years ago. We can't let this Government resurrect them via the back door. This is one of the biggest battles the Free Speech Union has ever taken on in its six years — and we need your help. Judicial reviews are expensive, but this is a fight we felt we had to take on. Nicki Minaj is the BIGGEST icon in the music industry and she just told the world the kinds of evils President Trump is TRULY battling on the this planet. Mel Gibson's former co-star Jim Caviezel also woke the public to Child Trafficking & the Adrenochroming of children. Jim is WELL respected in Christian households as a voice of reason in fighting cancel culture Christians face, and they're going after Nicki now. But, she's not a slave, owned by the evil music industry. She writes her own destiny while drawing lines in the sand around her. She's opening a pathway to understanding WHY this war is being waged. The true evil that preys on our children, that exists & lurks right in front of our faces every night on Tel-a-vision. So MANY people of worship KNOW that God exists, but fails to stop & think that evil too, not only exists & persists on this planet, but thrives & that there are MANY who root for the other team & hold powerful positions across our planet as the powers that SHOULDN'T be. The everyday people in our lives simply cannot see what we SEE. They assume because they're a good person, everyone else in the world must be a good person too: "I can't imagine anyone doing that kind of evil stuff to children, so there's NO WAY that's happening!" The reality is, they can't imagine THEMSELVES doing that kind of evil stuff to children and they're projecting a notion that all of society is just like they are - good people - so there's no way people would do this kind of stuff. This is exactly the thought process that's allowed this evil to lurk about cloaked from humanity. Evil is here and these people are sick. You, The People, are the cure. You Awake, is their GREATEST Fear!

It sounds like a "Black Mirror" episode: a small country announces a crackdown on hate speech to seize control over the entire Internet. Except it's not a "Black Mirror" episode. It's real life. And it's happening right now in Ireland. The so-called "Hate Speech" bill isn't what it seems. It's not a bill about protecting the Irish people from hate crimes. It's a Trojan Horse designed to control the world's Big Tech companies — X, Facebook, Google, and YouTube. This is a free speech emergency. We thought the legislation was dead. But the Irish government is using recent riots as an excuse to ram the legislation through before Christmas. THIS IS NOT A DRILL. THIS IS NOT ABOUT IRELAND. THIS IS A TOTALITARIAN EFFORT BY GLOBAL ELITES TO CENSOR ALL OF US. It's right there in black and white: "One of the key features of the Bill," write two attorneys with a leading Irish law firm, "is the provision for offences by corporate bodies." How can Big Tech companies avoid censorship? You guessed it: by agreeing to regulation of their content by the Irish government. "The current iteration of the Bill provides a defence for the corporate body to show that it took all reasonable steps and exercised due diligence to avoid the commission of the particular offence. Therefore, to establish and maintain such a defence, companies will need to have the appropriate processes and procedures in place." The Irish government is almost certainly not acting alone. As my colleagues and I have reported, the demand for censorship is coming directly from the militaries, intelligence agencies, and their front groups in the US, UK, and around the world. The intelligence communities of the Five Eyes nations of the US, UK, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand have been working together to censor ordinary citizens and politicians alike for disfavored speech for the last several years. There's no time to mince words. What governments are doing is against the law. They are violating the constitutions of the nations that the people elected them to uphold. Because of the high level of secrecy they are using, we can't say whether or not these are "rogue" elements within governments or whether these orders are coming from heads of state. But we do know that demands for censorship have come both directly from the US military and from heads of state of Western nations around the world. What's happening should terrify all freedom-loving people. We must fight back. We will fight back. That starts with recognizing what's going on. Please follow Free Speech Ireland Ben Scallan 🇮🇪 and other Irish free speech leaders. Please share this post and tell friends and family what's going on. Finally, please consider getting involved directly. We have created and personally contributed to an Emergency Free Speech Fund to get the word out: This isn't about "hate speech." This is about out-of-control elites within the intelligence, military, and security agencies around the world who are grotesquely abusing their power in a mad bid to take control of the Internet. If we don't stop them, this terrifying "Black Mirror" episode will become real life.
