The only people that should be celebrating when politicians defect are other politicians. Average Nigerians have nothing to rejoice about when this happens, because it is in nobody's interest that all our politicians are in the same party, or all our leaders sleep and face the same direction, especially if it makes the opposition so weak that nobody can checkmate the incumbent.
