Enough and more has been discussed on this topic and it's high time TVK Govt breaks away from the pointless DMK policy of not letting Navodaya schools in TN. DMK opposed every Central Govt scheme blindly in their regime and let the people of TN suffer, while other states kept benefitting. Vijay has made his stand clear that he is not going to do such stunt and this is certainly one to reconsider. The equation is simple. Every State and Union Territory (including Pondicherry and including states with Congress in power) in India has Navodaya schools that benefits the students and they are all learning a third language. Every private/CBSE school in TN is teaching Hindi or any other third language to students. But denying this opportunity to the less privileged Govt school kids in TN alone is really sad. If Hindi is the actual reason, then either the state needs to ensure Hindi is not taught in any school in TN. Or ensure other languages other than Hindi is taught in all schools in TN. This scheme is a solid win for the less privileged kids in TN where the Central Govt is literally taking up all the operational and infrastructural cost. Denying this is hypocritical.
