Thrift store tips for finding valuable items
18 Kommentare

I work as a pricer at Goodwill. Been there for 10 years. This ships clock from a soviet alpha class sub is probably one of the coolest things I have found

I just visited an antique store. It’s fun looking at all the artifacts, like traveling but on the time dimension.

Bring an ultraviolet light to check for Uranium Glass.

Ting it if makes you happy but it’s not a guarantee

Thumping Christal doesn't work, you are looking for cut glass it will almost cut you when you pick it up.

To be fair, a lot of stainless steel is also non magnetic.

I could use a lift John Joel. Uncle Ramon thank you for the LOLA’s bag. Oh and thank you for the Tall boy Grandpapa EL. Joelie ♠️🖤💙💙🏁

Silver plated copper/brass: also not magnetic

It takes only one with seasoned taste for jewel and relics to know and spot the valuables in thrift stores.

The best finds usually come from patience, not luck. 👀 What's the most valuable thing you've ever found at a thrift store?

Oh, this is very useful.. sometimes you can find good things in thrift store👍🏽

Not weird at all. I used to be a manager at one and I did exactly this when things came in to see whether it was worth selling or basically giving away.
