Since 2020, under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, we have been working consistently to make Coal Gasification a reality in India. In 2024, nearly ₹8,500 crores was allocated to boost Coal Gasification projects, and several projects are already underway. Now, the Union Cabinet has approved another Coal Gasification Scheme worth ₹37,500 crores. Coal Gasification will help India produce ethanol, methanol, diesel, petroleum products, and fertiliser inputs like syngas domestically, reducing import dependence and strengthening energy security. Coal Gasification will help India produce ethanol, methanol, diesel, petroleum products, and fertiliser inputs like syngas domestically, reducing import dependence and strengthening energy security.
