A little known fact is that these indicators are only used by BMWs to warn other BMWs...and the occasional Audi...of enemy bollards in the area.

Quite sinister how society value and normalise high powered cars around urban areas & no public outcry to the mortal dangers posed... 28000 killed or maimed yearly, no demand for safer streets...

Well, technically they are hazard lights, so no credit there. They still need to learn to use them one side at a time.

They work only in the death throes of a BMW.

Only the hazard warning lights work following inevitable crashes, they're not indicators in the normal sense.
