Storytime: This was by far the hardest long-distance race I’ve ever done. Not because of the distance or a lack of training, but because of the heat. 🥵Running at night was tough, the humidity was absolutely brutal. Around the 24–28 km mark, my mind almost gave up. That was the moment I started questioning why I was doing this and whether I could even finish because I was completely exhausted. I’ve never seriously thought about quitting a race before, but today was different. The exhaustion got to me, and my mind started playing tricks on me. I’m just glad I pushed through those thoughts, kept putting one foot in front of the other, and ended up hitting a new personal record in 32km. Thank you Lord! 🙏
