One of the shooter, later implicated in the death of a 6-year-old in yet another shooting walked because the police continued to question him after he asked for a lawyer. The police are very motivated to solve the case. It's not a net loss he will be back or the gangs will retaliate against him since he's been identified. Moving forward, the police may develop additional evidence to charge him with since there's no statute of limitation on murder. The shootings are endless and senseless I have no idea how the police even stay motivated like it makes a difference.
