$Harriet has left the building! 😅🦔 She's been one of my most challenging #hedgehogs to date. She had trauma to her nose, making it difficult for her to breathe, an open fracture of her right rear foot & intestinal fluke (a flatworm that lives in the gut) 😢 Any one of those could have proven fatal to a #hedgehog. She was on oxygen for 4 days until the congestion in her nose eased. Without that extra support, she would have died. My vet performed very skilled surgery to fix the tiny bones in her foot and stabilise it while it healed. She made a great recovery. She can fully curl, even though she seems very chilled with me in the video. She's gone back home into a hedgehog box and has a feeding station and plenty of dishes of water nearby. All the neighbours have been alerted to her return and will look out for her if she gets into difficulty. Safe travels Harriet 🙏 #rescue$
