Throwback Thursday!🤣😎 I kinda hate to admit it, but I remember every single one of these. The commercials, the jingles, the products... they take me right back to growing up in the 70s. Some of those jingles are still stuck in my head all these years later. 😂 And...

@DOGEQEEN Remember them all. The burge king commercial was from the days when they were good and used the chain drive insta broiler to cook them when you ordered the whopper.

@MoosesFelix Iron Eyes Cody was actually born Espera De Corti—an Italian-American who played Indian in both his life and on screen. The litter may have been real, but the Native American was appropriated.

Even the commercials were better back then. TV overall just sucks these days.

I (b. 1957) not only remember all these commercials, I can attest first hand to the practice of just throwing trash out your car window. My hero wasn't Joe Namath, but Fran Tarkenton. And I thought Lew Alcindor was the coolest name ever.

Every single one of them! Thanks for the throwback. Too bad we didn't get to hear Khan tell us all about rich Corinthian leather, though.

Funny how I remember almost every one of these, but I can’t remember where I parked my damn car at Walmart. Here’s one they should’ve included.

Man - for some reason Hawaiian Punch where you had to punch a whole in the tin can tasted better than what we have now or seemed to.

Today is exactly 10 years since my injury that ended my skate career, at the age of 24. The animation explains exactly what that night was like, and how stupid it was, but also how gnarly it was. I ended up rupturing an artery, tore ACL, LCL, PCL, MCL, and stretched out the nerve in the back of my knee that caused me to have a permanent paralyzed foot (drop foot). I can’t begin to tell you how devastating it was to have something I loved so much taken away from me in seconds. My whole life was dedicated to skateboarding and it all changed over night, because of just one stupid moment. I’ve gone through a lot of ups and downs over the past 10 years, from hating skateboarding, wanting nothing to do with it, distancing myself from my skate friends - Then years later finding myself right back to loving skating and being apart of it again in different ways than just stepping on a skateboard. All of that has just been part of my healing process. I had a meeting with Rick, Carroll, and Smyth at Girl a few years back, requesting that we do a “Last Board”. They initially didn’t agree with me, but it was something that I really wanted to do. I felt just for the healing journey that I needed that chapter of my life to come to an end. I owe those dudes everything that I have in my life, Girl was my favorite company as a kid growing up, and I am so grateful that I was able to turn pro with them at 18 years old, and end my skate career with them (technically 10 years ago). I fucking LOVE Girl Skateboards forever. I also really like the idea of the board saying “GAME OVER” because it sounds so harsh, like “Dude, you broke your leg, you lose. You’re not Pro anymore. Game over” hahaha. I also just want to thank every single person that has supported me along the way of my skate career, from my family and friends, to every single person that we met at the demos and signings around the world. I am grateful for absolutely every second of it and all of it was a dream come true. And hopefully in 10 more years someone figures out how to cure some damn nerve damage. Shit. New part dropping 2034.
