From 1963 to 1966, The Mighty Hercules first aired on television. It then aired for decades in reruns. As with many animated productions of the time, the voice cast was almost completely Canadian. Hercules was voiced by Jimmy Tapp. Tapp did the voice for 114 episodes after he replaced David Hartmann who only did eight episodes. Tapp was a radio broadcaster in Montreal, and hosted several CBC programs including The Tapp Room and Flashback. He also hosted CTV's A Kin to Win. A member of the Canadian Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame, he died in 2004. Gerry Bascombe, who was born in Toronto, voiced Newton for 112 episodes. He also voiced Daedalus. He replaced Newton voice actor Jack Mercer who voiced the character for 13 episodes. Bascombe died in 2019. Canadian Helene Nickerson voiced all the female voices including Helena and Wilhemine. If you're launching a show built entirely around star power and home runs, that's about as good an opening matchup as television could have asked for.

Hold You Forever - an original song for Aemeath The lyrics for this piece were actually written many years before Wuthering Waves was released. I was in a very dark place in life, and I made the song about themes of loss, loneliness/isolation, and reaching for hope. When the story of Aemeath was revealed, I was surprised by how closely the emotions in the lyrics aligned with her journey. I made this tool 4 years ago for helping with customer support emails. Instead of typing, it allows you to compose an email by dragging from predefined blocks with variables. So you only write your blocks once, and then you only combine them with drag and drop into an email. You can also save a set of email blocks as a template. When you choose that template, it lets you fill the variables of the template like a form, and then send it. We only use it internally and now with all the gpt stuff going on it seems pointless to release it. or is it? 🤔

25 YEARS AGO TODAY, the very first series of Celebrity Big Brother launched 👁️🔴 The series lasted just 8 days, and was supposed to be a one-off Comic Relief special, but it ended up going on to have a monumental impact on reality TV. There have now been 24 series of CBB, and it is the only British TV show in history to air on every main channel: BBC One, Channel 4, Channel 5, and now ITV. It returns for a 25th series next year, on ITV. The first series was won by comedian Jack Dee, but the most memorable moment however, was when Vanessa Feltz had a meltdown on the dining table. She had only been locked away for.. 3 days. While series 1 was the most watched ever, with an average of 5.2 million viewers, it went on to have a bigger global impact over the years. Series 4 had the first ever ‘civilian’ contestant take part, Chantelle, who went on to win the show. Series 5 had the infamous race-row, which made global news and had an impact on political relations between the UK and India. Series 11 was won by Rylan, who went on to host the side show for 5 years, and he then became a regular TV presenter on Strictly and Eurovision. Series 13 was extended mid-series and went on to reach 3.7 million viewers. Series 17 became viral with Tiffany Pollard vs. Gemma Collins, which later went on to spawn a Zara Larsson song a decade later. Also… RIP David. Series 22 saw it cancelled for the 3rd time, but not without making international news once again, thanks to Roxanne Pallet. Final Fight was such an epic brawler that defined its era in the arcades. When it first arrived, there was nothing else quite like it. The graphics, the atmosphere, the co-op gameplay, and the sheer impact it had on the genre were something special. Even all these years later, I still love seeing fan projects that capture that original flavour while adding their own twist. Fight Forever feels like a project made by fans, for fans, and you can see the passion behind it. It hits hard and is a great reminder of why Final Fight remains such a beloved classic.

GROK BOT - "OFFICE" Part 2 I'm the person who came up with this idea and was the first to implement it on Twitter. The visual is still being finalized, but the idea was conceived when I started writing the article and realized that my favorite TV series, The Office, was a perfect analogy for Grok Bot and its functionality. This key bucket by Melo has a lot going on. First, you can take as much time as u like executing the legal 2 steps (as long as you're not in the lane for >3 secs). You can also drag the back foot, not considered a step. His left foot can also pivot on floor while balancing. I don't even think it moved, just pivoted. Maybe half an inch. Not enough for a ref to be *certain* so they cannot call that, even though I don't really know if it moved anyway.

NEW: Woman takes off all her clothes on a Southwest plane in Houston, demands to be let off. The woman reportedly ran around the plane for 25 minutes "before action was taken" according to ABC 7. After nearly half an hour, the plane finally made it back to the gate before the woman bolted out. "She then proceeded to make her way back towards the front of the plane and started banging on the cockpit doors, asking to be let in and she was screaming," a passenger said. "When it first happened, it was really scary." The woman was taken to the hospital for medical evaluation.
