Throwback to when Dorit told Erika that Kyle sent her a manipulative and calculated text the night before the reunion, supposedly to silence her. Then Erika read the text out loud. I see a lot of people upset with Garcelle after the recent episode of #RHOBH Everyone is entitled to their own opinion on the matter and here’s mine: I know a lot of people are aware of the negative connotations when calling a black women “angry” or “aggressive” but a lot of people were confused about the word “attacked” and I can understand that. Housewives use the word “attacked” a lot. But in my opinion, it wasn’t just Dorit saying Garcelle “attacked” her… it was Dorit singling Garcelle out as the aggressor when it was Sutton who was getting loud and angry with Dorit… if anything, Dorit should have said Sutton attacked her. I don’t think in that moment Dorit had bad intentions. l think that she has unconscious bias. Does she automatically think that if a black woman calls her out or disagrees with her that she is being attacked? But even if you didn’t think that was unconscious, Karen behaviour from Dorit… it was her social media posts months after the episode was filmed that she decided to write those ignorant captions…after saying in her confessional that she is going to listen and learn. To me that was the most offensive part and done purposefully. Garcelle said Dorit lived in a privileged bubble and Dorit double downed on it. Also, I always stop and think about Dorit’s past behaviour towards Garcelle and maybe if those incidents didn’t occur, Garcelle wouldn’t feel the way she does about Dorit and get triggered by her. Example 1 Season 11 reunion: Dorit screamed at Garcelle at the reunion: “Let me finish, Garcelle!” Garcelle remained calm and I remember Kyle gesturing to Dorit to bring it down.
