Hugh Jackman had never even heard of Wolverine before landing the role. Hugh Jackman says Russell Crowe was originally approached to play Wolverine but recommended Jackman instead. Jackman admitted: > "I'd never heard of X-Men." > "I didn't even know there was an animal called a wolverine." Thinking Wolverine was basically a wolf, he studied wolves before filming and even based his movements on them. When he showed up to rehearsal, director Bryan Singer stopped him. Jackman: "I was thinking wolves..." Singer: "Wolves? You're a wolverine." Jackman: "I said, 'What? No such thing.'" Singer told him to visit the zoo and see one for himself. Despite initially knowing almost nothing about the character, Jackman went on to become the longest-running actor to play Wolverine on screen. Do you think anyone else could have played Wolverine better than Hugh Jackman?

Throwback to 2010 at the MCG! Hugh Jackman is a huge cricket fan, and his dream was to face Shane Warne one day. One day Shane Warne surprised him by wearing a mask and bowling an over. But the biggest surprise was Hugh Jackman himself. 😭 He stepped out and smashed Shane Warne for a few boundaries like he had done it before. 🤣 What a fun and unforgettable cricket moment.😂

In 2016, while promoting the movie "Eddie the Eagle," Hugh Jackman had a surprising run-in with one of his old students. The student, Rollo Ross, had become a journalist for Reuters and was now interviewing Jackman. Jackman, who once taught Physical Education at Uppingham School, playfully talked about Ross's athletic development since their school days in the late 1980s.

Hugh Jackman’s performance in Prisoners is probably one of the best I have ever seen. Hugh Jackman in Prisoners isn’t performing a role ,he’s slowly burning it from the inside. He delivers a performance that feels carved out of fear. It’s one of those performances lingers long after the screen goes dark. Hugh Jackman avoided rehearsing emotional peaks. He didn’t want his breakdowns to feel planned. Many of Keller’s most devastating moments were shaped on set.
