THROWBACK: When CBS announcer Tony Romo used to predict plays throughout the game. This was the most incredible run we have ever seen by a broadcaster. A damn shame Romo was forced to stop predicting every play.

Everyone. It's not the play call he was guessing. He was using presnap movements and offensive tendencies to figure out a likely outcome.

He would be the perfect announcer for the prime vision cause he breaks down playcalls & signals like a book

He was made to stop because he hasn’t played in a while. He can’t correctly guess plays anymore because offenses have changed too much since he played

Hell now they have a camera in between every play on the coaches mouth or the qb in the huddles mouth so the lips can be read and the information is processed accordingly.

He would predict the most obvious plays. “Its 3rd n 25, they’re gonna pass the ball here”…. NO SHIT

This interests me because I recently remarked that I’m surprised Romo is not giving a heads-up on plays anymore. I love when he does that. Never thought he’d be told not to do it.

You all know the broadcast teams gets to watch the teams practice? They are told not to say anything about special plays too early.
