Thundar the Barbarian intro. Doesn't get much better.

This needs to happen...

💯

i still live in fear of a runaway planet

🤣

The comic was really good.

“A world of savagery, superscience and sorcery!” A well- made movie adaptation would be a license to print money!

I remember when this came out 10 years later.

I remember there being a Hanna-Barbera block when I was kid . It was Thundar , Space Ghost , and The Herculoids .

I never saw this before. When did it come out? Looks like a Classic 'He-Man' rip-off!

Far different story than He-Man

Free to watch on Tubi, along with the real ghost busters and extreme ghost busters

Too short lived. Such a great show.

AHHHHHHHH HEEEE

I always enjoyed it when it came out still to this day. Creative for sure.

A favorite 👍🏻

Same character designer can you confirm @jackkirbycomics

Have to love 80s cartoon non violence logic. “Whole world destroyed! Billions dead! The dregs of humanity enslaved by mutants! Now watch as Thundarr only uses his lightsaber on robots!”

A classic , alongside of He-Man

What really grinds my gears? Steve Gerber (who worked in comics) Never gave Thundarr a real origin and epilogue.

What a great premise. Great Saturday morning fare.

80s cartoons the intro told you what the show is about. Also they predicted the world as we know it getting destoryed 14 years in the future.

I loved it when I was a kid

I always said the guy who bought the house on the hill should be grateful to his realtor.

Ended too soon. Had plenty of room to run.

Awesome cartoon

Always loved the sound effects for the Sun Sword.

@capecoraldwells I was petrified for 1994 growing up. Also, an intact VW Beetle 2000 years in the future should have been a great advertising campaign in the 80s for VolksWagon.

Can't believe we survived this 😀

If you're wondering where our heads were at vis-a-vis the Cold War and the apocalypse and civilization possibly ending, check out this cartoon that ran on Saturday mornings.

@capecoraldwells Man’s civilization is cast in ruins…

Wow, two years before the Telecom act of 1996, the slow burn.

An all time favorite!

Elite storyline

It keeps going harder as the intro goes on.

Can we get a kickass reboot of this show. Also, we have had a “Kamandi” animated show. It would have been a hit on Adult Swim.
