Thoughts on Day 1 Thresh (he's super sick): Pros: Back assist is amazing with OTG + Range J.h has amazing range + airdash is strong Lantern is really versatile and has lots of potential Great tag out moves (ghost, lantern, 5hh, etc) Cons: Forward dash is too laggy for a game like this Mediums are short + bad movement means hard to play midrange Bad solo blockstring and tough to do strike / throw mix cause of dash Senna tomorrow, want to play one of these characters for sure at EVO so gonna grind it out

A woman in the car behind at the red light on Phoenix Ave watching this idiot in a silver sedan pull way too far forward and park right where the sidewalk starts instead of staying back like you’re supposed to. She just casually says “Mutha fvcka stop at the stoplight” and calls them dumbasses while the silver car sits there clueless. Then the light turns green and they finally move. People this braindead are out here driving every single day. Clown World never disappoints. When did basic common sense disappear?

Got my PADI open water scuba license: cave dives, night dives, and plenty of magnificent coral reefs. In fact we’re going on a dive tomorrow morning. I used to water ski every day too. Lucky ! Well this isn't promising. Conservative MP Michael Barrett says, "If Mark Carney isn't going to allow parliamentarians to debate laws and pass legislation that puts Canadians first then Canadians need to vote in an election." This is basically the same thing Jagmeet Singh said when he walked back his promise to vote non-confidence to trigger an election. It's looking like if our Unelected Prime Minister doesn't want to call an election, he's not going to be forced into it any time soon. After a decade of weak opposition to the Liberals, I guess we really shouldn't have expected things to change. WATCH:

Some of Nate Schmidt’s best work on an inbounds play that we’ve seen. Watch Carr get on his heels after the off ball from Toure thinking Lipsey is coming directly at him and going to try and maneuver around him. Jefferson then moves forward while his defender does not have eyes on ball and can’t see what’s going on. Meanwhile for Momcilovic his defender is stuck on him on the other side of the court so he has no chance to make a play on Heise’s full court pass. The delivery from Heise and the throw down from Lipsey. Good stuff from the Clones.

This is what I’m talking about. This isn’t to highlight Bentancur. It’s how 90% of teams and players behave for I’d say 70% of the game. But what are we trying to achieve here? The best thing that can happen from any phase of play, is to score a goal. So that’s the overall objective. To do that, the ball at some stage has to go behind every single opposition player and space has to be exploited whether it’s big or small. But Bentancur here is waiting. Waiting for players to move. Waiting for opposition to move. But why would Newcastle move? They don’t need to break from their shape. But imagine what would happen if Bentancur travelled with the ball into those open spaces. Newcastle and spurs players aren’t just going to watch, it’s going to instigate a chain reaction of movement from both sides. And that will in turn break up shapes which creates gaps. Then it’s if you are confident and able to exploit. But just waiting doesn’t achieve it. Imagine the disruption you will cause if both the ball player, and off ball players look to provoke the opposition as opposed to rigidly stand in shape. It’s just logical. If you stay still. Why does the opposition need to move? So what pictures are changing? What gaps are you opening? What gaps are you exploiting? So how do you expect to score when to score a goal, gaps have to be exploited? It’s why when people say “it’s harder in modern football, there’s less space”. No there isn’t. There’s always space. You’re just seeing players less willing to provoke it and attack it.

Made my debut on Sky Sports News (LIVE) today. A massively surreal moment, one I never really imagined was possible. Filled with so much pride being able to represent the incredible organisation that is Her Game Too and the new collaboration with Kick It Out. 52% of women have experienced or witnessed sexist behaviour or language on matchdays, of which 85% of those had never reported it. It’s time to change that going forward by creating a safer and more inclusive game for women. + a really exciting weekend ahead filled with IWD celebrations across the UK. If you’re at Brentford v Villa and would like to be involved in my SSN social takeover, drop me a message. P.S. enjoy my Villa optimism (or delusion) at the end x

Bogoljub Markovic Film + Notes 🧵 Best thing I saw: Loved his feel for the game. He was so good out of the short roll. Always knew where everyone on the floor was and made quick decisions with the ball. Biggest Concern: He was just throw around like a doll down low. When hedging screens he had such a hard time getting back to his man and being in good position to box out. Even when in good position, he still got thrown around pretty easily. Offense: - Extremely high IQ - Quick decision maker - his shot is super smooth / high release and quick trigger - Really solid feel when catching in the short roll / but hard to get him in good position on the roll bc of him not being big enough to hold guys behind him - great feel for spacing on and off ball - really solid ball handling for his size / had some good moments getting a rebound and pushing the ball up the floor - a lot better finishing through traffic than actually finishing through contact - not really going to be able to create his own shot at any point / it’s either catch and shoot or catch pump fake and drive or catch and finish Defense - Hard for him to get back in position when hedging screens because of the weight - ^ piggy backing off this, thought he had the foot speed and length to hang with guys on the perimeter (Mega Superbet just had really small guards so they had to run this drop to keep them out of bad switches) - is not a big that’s going to excel in drop coverage - wouldn’t classify him as a 5. He’s definitely a 4 - doesn’t offer much rim protection at all - doesn’t offer much help side defense - was bullied down low fighting for rebounds / even when in position he was easily pushed out the way
