This dad is visiting his daughter for the first time since donating his kidney to her. She had written him a letter when she got out of surgery that said “thank you for not only giving life to me the first time, but choosing to do it again”🥹 “I know, that’s why I’m here.” ❤️ That father would walk to the end of the Earth for his baby girl. I’m sure all he felt was absolute relief that he could help and know that his daughter will enjoy her life and be happy and healthy. Quentin Taratino said Lawrence Fishburne’s performance in King of New York was so incredible he thought - “he could be the greatest actor of his generation”. He explains: "As great as Christopher Walken is in this movie. To me, it's Larry Fishburne's movie - it was the rock that becomes a diamond aspect of the movie. It's why I could defend this movie against all comers, because to me, Fish's performance in this movie was comparable to a young Brando. It was the most exciting performance by an actor of his generation that I'd seen in a movie of that time. And I thought, well, that's it. There is a new Marlon Brando, and his name is Larry Fishburne - it was amazing, it was mesmerizing… He is the first hip hop gangster in movie history. That character had never been done before this. This part of The Neverending Story is more devastating as a metaphor for 2025 then it ever was when I was a kid. Atreyu tries to tell his horse Artax how the swamps are. That the sadness isn't real. That he's letting it get to him. Atreyu begs Artax to get out of it, if not for himself then his friend — to no avail. Time passes. Finally Atreyu looks up and Artax is gone. He gave in to the illusion. Atreyu did everything he could think of, he begged, he cried, he screamed, but in the end he couldn't save his friend because he refused to save himself. This is one of the hardest lessons to learn in life. Ever.

Why is my cat doing this? This is his room. Everything he needs is in here because he can be a troublemaker and occasionally he gets closed in there, which he seems very comfortable with. This has been his room since we adopted him which was over a year ago now and he hangs out in this room by choice often. Recently, he has started going in his room and closing the door. Is he trying to get my attention by doing this? Is he just playing or is he actually smart enough to want to be closed in the room and shut the door himself? 😂

So many people tagged me yesterday about this young man who had made a placard with my name at Archives. Today while I was in the CBD on official duty. I found him still standing at the same spot with the same placard and took time to engage him in a conversation. I asked him why he chose that approach, especially knowing that some people might misunderstand his intentions or view it negatively. He honestly told me that he chose that direction because he understands Kenyans controversy trends fast, and he believed it was the quickest way to get his message to reach me. He clarified that he is a straight young man with a girlfriend and simply wanted an opportunity to speak to me and see how his life could change. When I asked how I could help, he humbly said he only wished for two things: to take him and his girlfriend out for a Valentine’s dinner and, more importantly, to enroll in college to pursue an ICT course and build his future. His honesty and determination touched me. I promised to support his education, and today I took him to ICS College for sponsorship. I’m happy to share that he will now be enrolled and given a chance to pursue his dream in ICT. Sometimes all someone needs is not money, not fame just an opportunity and someone who believes in them.

“The idea was, when he (Vincent D'Onofrio) decides to reveal himself they did a special version of his makeup that was very stretchable. What he does is he grabs the back of his head and he just starts tugging on it. The idea was he would pull it as far as he could, and then we would take over stretching the image, making it appear to be distorting in a way that it physically couldn’t. Then basically when I shot Vince I just kept urging him to pull harder, and harder, and harder until finally the final take he just pulled it until the makeup just ripped. We said, ‘Okay, we got it.’ That’s what’s in the show because it’s really tugging on his face the maximum it could be done, and then we just extended that. Helped by a little bit of editing we were able to put a ridiculously large CG creature inside of a human sized body, and we’re not seeing it all at one time, you kind of get away with the fact that, well maybe he was in there he was just hunched up.” – Eric Brevig, Men In Black visual effects supervisor.

Last night in Kawangware, I met this man whom I initially thought was a security guard. After speaking with him, I later came to learn that he is a Nigerian national currently living on the streets. Whenever I meet someone living on the streets, I always take time to engage with them, understand their story, and learn how they ended up there. My goal is always to see how best I can help them rebuild their lives. During our conversation, he shared that he came to Kenya after receiving a promise of sponsorship from his cousin to continue his education here. However, after only two weeks in the country, his cousin who had promised to support him left for the United States without enrolling him in school, leaving him stranded in Kenya. As we continued talking, he explained how he struggled to survive and eventually ended up living on the streets. He has now been on the streets for about two years. In one of the videos I recorded, a lady reached out to me and said she recognized him. According to her, they once lived in the same apartment building. She narrated how the man had been in a relationship with a lady who allegedly took everything he owned. This incident deeply affected him, pushing him into depression and eventually to the streets. The man also shared that at one point he worked in Dubai, where he used to send money back home to support his parents in Nigeria. However, when he later returned home, he claims he discovered that he had been deceived by the very people he trusted. He gave me his parents’ contact, although we were not able to fully hear their side of the story. Currently, his travel documents have expired, and he expressed that his biggest wish is to renew them so that he can return home to Nigeria and start life again. I offered to use my platform to help fundraise for the renewal of his documents, as he personally requested. He also asked if I could help him secure any form of work so that he could at least sustain himself as he waits to regularize his documents. However, after spending time with him and assessing his situation, it became clear to me that he urgently needs mental health support, as he appears to be struggling with depression. I therefore decided that the following morning I would take him to a private rehabilitation center where professionals could assess him and offer the help he needs. After we agreed on this plan, I took him to a hotel where he could spend the night safely. I paid for his room and food, intending to pick him up the following morning and take him for rehabilitation. Unfortunately, later in the morning I received a call from the hotel attendant informing me that although the man had slept well, he left the guest house very early in a hurry. Later reports indicated that he had been seen back on the streets. Since then, efforts to locate and rescue him have not been successful. I am informed that he rarely accepts help from people, which makes the situation even more challenging. If anyone happens to see or locate him, please kindly contact me through +254707946783 so that we can assist him, take him for rehabilitation, and help facilitate his return to his home country. I am also appealing to his fellow Nigerians living in Kenya, those back in Nigeria, and well-wishers both in Kenya and abroad come through for him and support the effort to give this man a second chance in life. Ever thought why we support Rahul Gandhi even after so many defeats? Because he is only person in this country for whom government has to block the entire national capital region just to stop him. He might be loosing elections because of the weak organisation and he has work a lot on that. We will also criticise him for that. But when it comes to the ideological commitment, we can't believe any other person. When everyone is ready to be getting sold. No one is more committed for the ideology than him. We know that he will fight BJP-RSS till his last breath. I really feel that if he had not been between BJP-RSS and the people, India would have seen a worse situation than it has ever seen before. He himself is loosing elections but also saving India from that worst situation!!

The most retarded thing about Zack's Pixel Fold battery explosion is his claim (and people repeating it) that this is the first time ever that this happened. Well YEAH because it was also the FIRST TIME that he pushed it way beyond his usual destruction and kept trying to fold it over at the breaking point (the antenna) way after it already got destroyed On all his other ""tests"" he always stops when the phone breaks. Not to much here. After it broke he tried to completely fold it and THAT was the point that damaged the battery which resulted in it starting to smoke. Don't blame fucking Google, blame his retarded ""testing"" It's literally the FIRST time he did this to a phone. Not the first time this happening in his tests". It would happen almost every single time if he did this to all his phones and foldables. For comparison on the Fold 7 he just stopped after a quick bent. On the Pixel he didn't.

I should start by saying I'm no journalist. Today, a random boy from Kavango East approached me and my colleagues as we sat by the parking outside. First we thought he was begging. Only for him to tell us his name is George Kakuwa. Then he went on to say he was the boy who walked 200km to Rundu to attend the founding father's memorial service last year (2025) in February. I of course searched up the newspaper article just to make sure it was him. Before I could even verify, he continued saying he never got his money and he never went back to school. Most of us remember this story, and how he was hailed as a symbol of youthful inspiration, so much so that a certain amount was pledged to help him and his grandmother with his school. But according to him, it never reached the boy or the family. I recorded the video as evidence, his words are his own whether true or not. Someone should definitely follow up on this story to verify. today would have been Oliver Tree birthday . he brought me so much joy just to know a creator that loved and breathed his art 1000% every time I see him I felt like I wasn’t doing enough .. but it wasn’t just the work as a musician it was life . he lived it every moment to the fullest - he gave everything in his bones to making the world a better place with his music . a lot of people might have just been turned on to him that wasn’t familiar . and he would be so happy to see the impact he had .. at a great time with everyone looksmaxing, faking their way to the algorithm and making music for the money - he tried to steer humanity into a greater place where being the best version yourself is the greatest gift you can give... this is one of the demos we had - in retrospect it makes me cry to listen back to.. what a big heart this man had

hi! i just looked through the english subs on the team txt video and there are two subs in particular that i wanted to add a little more context to 1. yeonjun talking about how his most painful moment was when he couldn’t be there in person when they won their first rookie of the year award the subtitles say “my back was injured” but yeonjun actually said he “ruptured his spinal disc” the reason i think this is important is because when the notice first came out in 2019, it said “sudden back pain” and yeonjun also said it was because he had back pain and to find out all these years later that it wasn’t actually ordinary back pain but because his spinal disc ruptured is…🥹 2. the subtitle says “i think this is the most special experience i could ever have in my life” but soobin actually said “even if i live several lives, i think that this is a special experience that i can only have in this lifetime.”

Kyle Shanahan on Curtis Robinson: “He's really worked to get better each year, and he's a very talented guy. I think when he came here, he hadn't played in a system like this for a while. It took him a little bit to kind of pick that up, but we so believed in him as a guy and his talent level that after a year, you could start to see it clicking. He became a big asset on special teams, and last year was the first time that we really believed he was going to step in there, really contribute at linebacker at a high level. It was actually kind of a sad story, but it was about 20 minutes before he tours ACL, was the first time that I told him he'd be starting that week. It was his first start in his career, and he had earned it. We were going to move him ahead of Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles at the time. I had just told Flannigan, which was tough for Flannigan, but they were so tight, so he was happy for Curtis. Then it was about 20 minutes later that Curtis tore his ACL on special teams before he even got to a defensive rep. He was so coming in there and finally about to have his moment.
