One of the smartest baseball plays I've seen in a long time, and I'd like to share it with you. Bases Loaded with two outs in the 5th inning with izaacpacheco at the plate. Austin Murr is the runner at first base. Pacheco hits a ground ball to 2B. If Austin Murr goes in sliding, he's forced out to end the inning. If he runs through and continues on to third, he'll be safe at second and allow the West Michigan Whitecaps score a run before a rundown causes the inning to end. They wouldn't have gotten the run any other way. West Michigan went on to win the game 5-4 in 10 innings.
