LOTS of people will be going to jail… In a criminal conspiracy case, the statute of limitations does not begin to run until the date of the most recent overt act committed in furtherance of the conspiracy. This is because conspiracy is considered a “continuing offense”—so long as conspirators take steps to further the agreed-upon illegal objective, the crime continues, and the clock for the statute of limitations is restarted with each new overt act.

This seems very specious AAGHarmeetDhillon. “Because where there’s a continued conspiracy, which I think you could make the case for in some circumstances, the statute of limitations doesn’t begin to run, i.e. start, until that conspiracy and those overt acts in furtherance of the conspiracy end” Do you therefore admit that if there is no ongoing conspiracy, then the statute of limitation lapses after five years on many offenses? For what it’s worth, I would love to have you on to discuss. I would have some follow up questions that were not asked in this interview.
