Time to put those deformable voxels to work. Here is a very quick softbody test. There are some artefacts and missing motion vectors but there's potential!

So cool! Now I’m wondering how the physics would work on a deforming mech like this. It must be broken into slices?

Right now particle based, but will swtich to rigid body clusters. In theory it should work with destruction as well.

even with this kind of deformation all the voxel data is retained and editable? (cut,, shoot, explode?) It's looking great

Yes, the voxel data is just the plain old regular grid. So it should work... in theory :)

This looks like a cereal bar and now i'm hungry 😢

awesome! btw not totally related but incase you haven't heard of smooth voxels check it out - really cool project to convert voxels to smooth geo and vice versa (also a markdown format):

@XorDev Nice

I see voxels themselves weren't hard enough to solve 😄 Looking forward to what you'll make with this!

The Discord sound at 17 seconds had me stuck looking at who was pinging me for several minutes

"When Rice Krispy treats attack."
