I believe it’s asking you to “accept the restrictions”, as in there is probably a check box below the text they want you to read. Then when you’ve actually “read the restrictions” the button will turn blue and you can continue

I do this all the time to modify <select> elements and add an <option> that wasn't there. They're notorious for not being validated. For example, I scraped a website using selenium, and you could choose 5, 10, or 25 results. Turns out I could just modify it to return 1000 results

I bought my son plane tickets to go to a conference that was in early 2020. Then 2020 happened and the world got cancelled. It took negotiations but they finally agreed to give my son credit to use within a year. Then, they wouldn't let him use it cause he was a minor.

This happens on most purchases by the way , theatres tickets , payments , shopping etc . They always force you to buy something at much more expensive prize . Fake sales , fake online job vacancies . Etc

Here's an idea. Go to *ANOTHER* airline! I stopped flying with American Airlines @AmericanAir decades ago. I avoid them like the plague. They left me stranded in Mexico.

I have flown cross country dozens of times. It's cheaper to use a ticket vendor (Priceline or whatever) and buy 2 one way tickets instead of a round trip ticket direct from the carrier

I got taken for an extra 1400 from Expedia (American airlines) right before my flight because they said I didn’t have a confirmed seat and I was standby only. The website said nothing about a standby only seat. I’m still fighting it

I bought a ticket,then is asked me if I wanted to get a seat on the plane-ya know the one I just bought 🙃 that was another 49$, then is asked me if I'd like to pay for my luggage for the ticket I just bought to fly on the plane,,THIS IS A CRIME.

Never once has that 'accept restrictions' button been unclickable when pricing flights. Zero times out of a hundred. In fact it almost never brings that modal window up and goes straight to payment confirmation.

Or you could choose not to fly American.
