The family name was Drumpf. Donald Trump changed it to Trump because it sounded more like a 'winner's' name or something. At some point he becomes aware of the two old books and decides to 'fulfill' some of the things from the books and to everyone it all seems weird and amazing. Well that's what Trump does, he's a talented showman that makes people believe things that are not true. Maybe him changing his name was one of the things he did after learning about the books who knows.

The man's sunglasses were typical of that era with the side shades. The book on Baron Trump is totally ridiculous. I have it and gave up trying to read it, because it's beyond stupid. I know Time Travel is possible, because I took an 85-minute train ride that lasted 10 minutes in 1996. But the connection to Trump means nothing, IMO.

Would we even know it? If the desired outcome of time travel was to change events we would have no clue of what happened. Who is to say we have not been manipulated on to this timeline? What purpose do the last 5 or so years serve? Were all the other timelines available for those years that much worse that this is the best we can do? We can take it further. Are there fixed points in time where events can't be changed?
