I don't really have a definitive way I do the sketching, it really depends on the art because sometimes just simply sketching it out works good enough, but I was struggling a bit with the pose, hence blocking the sillhouette out first was really useful

It always fascinates me to see the buildup like this with shapes / volumes, since I have no clue how to actually apply it for myself

the entire idea is basically to break the body down in these 3d shapes instead of imagining the leg in its complex form, you can imagine it as two cylinders attached by a sphere it makes it easier to imagine it in a 3d space and thus to pose it it requires getting used to🙂‍↕️
