@CaptainYonuts Yes. I rescued one from the neighbor's front yard last year. Some kids were messing with him, so I put him inside my fence. It took him a couple hours to calm down enough to function.

My dog killed some babies one year. Made me sad

@CaptainYonuts Gabe doesn't kill them, he just likes to strut around with one in his mouth from time to time. He'll kill and eat rabbits, but possums are toys apparently.

Immune to ticks and can't get rabies. They are useful. Ugly and scary, but friendly.

I was in Dollar General a few weeks back and a woman came in with a small possum on her chest.

Weirdest thing for me. As someone who has had an interest in fury mammals since childhood (1970s). In my timeline opossum opossum's appeared from nowhere about 10 years ago. It is actually really disturbing.
