Timothée Chalamet about the ‘Interstellar’ Screening with Christopher Nolan: “The whole experience with Nolan, I felt totally like 17 again. I went home, it was shocking. I don't know, anybody here was at that Interstellar spot? That was a crazy car ride home for me, because I was like,...

John David Washington says he showed up 30 minutes late to Christopher Nolan's house, barely understood the script the first time he read it........and still walked away with the lead role. Josh Horowitz: "Again, this crazy, amazing honor opportunity. Not many people get to be the protagonist, literally, in a Chris Nolan movie." "Does he deliver a script? Is it a conversation? How does it go down?" David Washington: "Yeah, I was told to be at his house at a certain time, and we're gonna talk about something. That was it." "I was in there like, maybe he's doing research for something else... We talked about movies and we talked about like how I love the movie, like movies. We talked about our love for films and, and just life and sports and stuff like that." "So after the meeting, I was like... I was thirty minutes late to the meeting. I was running up to the gate and like sweating profusely... And Emma greets me at the door, his wife, producing partner, and she's just laughing." "I think she could see how panicked I was... But we end up staying two and two and a half hours, and then after that, I got the call saying, 'Uh, will you be the protagonist?'" "I went crazy. We went, we had like three dinners, like it was like a Super Bowl... I felt like I made the Hall of Fame." On reading the script in Nolan's office: "I'm in Christopher Nolan's office reading a script of his. What is my life? ...I didn't understand that shit. Like, it took about three some plus hours to read it, you know?" "But I really did sincerely understand there's a way into the character... I kinda liked it. I can create, we can create together, and he kinda left that to me. He really trusted me with that. And I really love him for it because he didn't have to." "That's Christopher Nolan. He has his way... But it was quite the opposite. He wanted me to use my instincts."

This man was criticized for expecting a “thank you” for a good deed. He always saw the same man walking when he drove to work. He assumed the man was walking because he did not have any other means of transportation. He used his own money and bought the man an electric scooter, the man took the scooter and just silently walked away, no thank you or anything else at all. I don’t think that was too much to ask, a thank you goes a long way, otherwise it makes people look ungrateful. Back in college, I had a classmate that I always saw walking home after class. It didn’t matter whether it was raining or snowing, or hot out. Whenever I drove past him he always looked miserable and I could tell he didn’t like to walk all the time. In class I had asked him where he lived, and I found out it was on my way home so I offered to drop him off because it was really cold out and had snowed about a foot. He agreed and we chatted on the way home, nothing serious just pleasant conversation. I dropped him off and went on my way home. For me this was a one time thing, I only offered because how bad it was snowing. After class the next day, he walked with me and when I got to my car he got in. I didn’t agree or offer him a ride that day but he assumed that since I was ok with giving him a ride the day prior that I would be ok with it this day too. I didn’t say anything about it because at this point I didn’t care really. So the next day came and went, once again he walked with me to the car but that day was different. I wouldn’t be going his way because I had to work after class. So before I got to the car I said “I’ll see you tomorrow.” He looked dumbfounded and said aren’t you taking me home? I said no, I have to get to work. He then asked me how he would get home, and I told him the same way you always have. He then gave me excuses for why I was being a jerk because I was making him walk in the cold. I didn’t argue I just told him I helped him out when I could, but I wasn’t about to go out of my way because he didn’t have a car and besides I didn’t want to be late for work. He didn’t speak to me for the rest of the semester because of it, something tells me I was better off not offering to help in the first place.

Marshawn Lynch says he asked for Russell Wilson's phone number, but Russ called him from a blocked number “I had a situation. We were playing against Tennessee, and their secondary wasn't good. We were supposed to throw the ball for 500 yards or some shit like that. Russ didn't have the game that he wanted. After the game, I did pretty good, 2 tugs, 150 rushing, another 50 receiving” “I reached out to our player personnel dude and was like, ‘Hey man, let me get Russ' number. He said, Alright, I'll call you back.’ He called me back like, ‘Did you get a call?’ I'm like, ‘No.’ He was like, ‘Russ just said he called you.’ I'm like, ‘No, I got a call from a blocked number.’ He was like, ‘Oh, that's him.’ I don't know if he blocked it or how it worked. I just know I got a call from a blocked number” “So when I call back, I'm just like, ‘Hey bro, I'm calling you as a teammate. I'm telling you straight up, I'm calling you on some real shit.’ I think this was the first time that I actually tried to have a conversation with bro. ‘I know you didn't have the game that you wanted to have. That's what I'm here for. We got to be there for each other. I'm here for you. You here for me’” “His response to me was kind of like, ‘What the fuck...’ So I told him again, ‘No bro, I'm letting you know, I'm here for you. We gonna rock, you know what I mean.’ His response was the same. I mean, we on the same team, going for the same goal, and this was how you chose to respond to me”

Here’s Rivers’ full confession from tonight’s LUX TOUR Confessional with ROSALÍA: “When I was in high school, there was a boy I really liked. We talked, but we were ‘just friends,’ and as time went by, we got to know each other more. He would ask me out, and it started becoming something more. Then, one day, he told me he liked me and felt the same way. I was so excited, so hopeful. His birthday was coming up, and there was going to be Pal Norte, a festival here. I spent months saving money to take him to the festival. I even did raffles and everything, because I was 13 or 14 years old. When his birthday finally came, I had prepared a surprise for him, organized everything, and planned a special moment. When I gave him the gift, he saw what it was and got kind of weird. Then he told me, ‘Oh, it’s just that I have a family commitment,’ or whatever. Something like that. But he had been saying for months that he wanted to go, so it didn’t make any sense. I said, ‘Okay, fine, nothing happened.’ Since I had the extra tickets, I told a friend, ‘This is your opportunity, come with me.’ She was going to the festival too, so we went together. We were about to leave when, guess who I ran into at the festival? Him. With someone else, all cuddled up, and I think they were holding hands. And the worst part? Do you know who it was? A classmate. After that, I didn’t want anything to do with ‘Nati’ and I hated everyone for a long time. I spent several years not trusting anyone and not wanting to meet people in that way. But it was an experience, and eventually I realized it didn’t have to be that way.”
