2027: “If I win the presidential election, I will restore fuel subsidy” — ADC presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar Former Vice President and presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Atiku Abubakar, has pledged to restore Nigeria’s petrol subsidy if elected president in the 2027 presidential election. Atiku made the declaration during a Facebook Live session while addressing questions about the removal of the subsidy and its impact on Nigerians. The Only Factor Behind Atiku’s Choice of Amaechi as Running Mate is Financial — Wike It will be very difficult for Atiku to become president. The only reason for picking Amaechi as running mate may be financial, because if it is on the basis of delivering votes, that idea is dead on arrival. Rotimi Amaechi has not won any election since 2011, when I was DG of his campaign. He was DG of Buhari’s campaign in 2015, and Buhari did not get 25% in Rivers State. Amaechi defined a brother as one who identifies with us in terms of problems. He said brotherhood is not blood relation. So, we are going to copy that definition for the 2027 presidential election. Amaechi said Jonathan never cared for us and that Buhari was our brother because he would identify with us. If that's the case, he now wants to run for Vice President. When he was minister, what did he do for us? Rather, he took the transportation university to Daura in Katsina State, thinking that it would make him president. Did they make him president? Now, Asiwaju has identified with us. Our sons are now Vice Chancellors of the University of Port Harcourt and the newly established University of Environment, which Amaechi denied us.
