RIP OUR SWEET BEAUTIFUL GIRL, Hollyanne 💔💔💔💔💔💔 7 years ago we rescued this beautiful young pony, Clondalkin, Dublin. She was in a field and could barely walk, her legs tired, exhausted and shattered, her frail body so skinny💔😡 She had been used on a sulky trap, far to young, legs still developing, so cruel 💔😡 We did everything for her, she had our specialist farrier Brian with her every few weeks. UCD Vets monitored her throughout her life while with us and our lovely vet John would always visit her too when at the farm. To say we loved, adored and treasured Hollyanne is an understatement. We knew the day would come when pain would take over and the hardest decision would have to be made. Sadly Hollyanne had severe navicular disease and arthritis and it was getting worst. When both navicular disease and arthritis progress together, it makes it a struggle to walk comfortably no matter what we did it wasn’t helping anymore. Hollyanne was losing her appetite and spirit due to chronic pain Letting her go was the kindest and loving decision, freeing her from suffering. I need Black people in Baton Rouge and Louisiana to recognize how the Attorney General of this state is using a large portion of her time to target Black leadership. If you’re Black and you’re pushing the line hard for Black people these leaders use the media and their power to make you believe they are criminals. All while barely reporting on the actions of white leaders stealing piles of money and still serving. @councilmanclevedunnjr is the target today, but it’s not just him. ty is another example of a Black man targeted by these folks. The goal is to discredit and demonize Black people. Scrutinize every thing she says because she has an agenda to diminish the power of Black people in Louisiana and this country. The AG ignores so much of what white leadership on Louisiana does. Case in point Councilwoman Lori Adams White and her husband. There are some who believe if Black people are getting anything it means someone gave it to us, we didn’t earn it or deserve it. By the way, unrelated but just listened to #MADONNA’s new album #CONFESSIONSII and it’s fascinating how the Queen of Pop still got it. Different from the current trends, focusing on the 90s house over the overused disco & new wave eras. Among my favorite tunes, #Danceteria has it all to be a mega hit, but #GoodForTheSoul really is the song that magically sums up Madonna’s entire discography in a single song, you can literally feel all her eras e classic beats spread out across this song. #OneStepAway has that almost ethereal feeling which was so present during the era of Ray of Light. But the whole album is incredible, and it works because it was built as a single body of work freely flowing. Loved the structure of the album, with all songs connected to each other like a massive single block. #Madonna celebrates the real connections through soul, body, movement, dance, music and the democracy of the dance floor, in a day and age where the online world tries to take their importance away from us. #Madonna doesn’t try to recreate her 2005 #ConfessionsOnADanceFloor. She proposes a new path with #ConfessionsII, not just for herself musically, but for the pop music and pop culture. And makes an album that feels timeless, and overcomes his 2005 counterpart exactly by showcasing her evolution in the last two decades which culminated in this new album. After all these years, keeping such a sharp nose to explore uncharted territories and set new trends & higher bars for others to follow is #MADONNA’s biggest act of rebelliousness yet. By far her best album since #RayOfLight - and arguably better than that one as well! Totally recommend.

Our hero has accidentally closed a door on her fingers. If you’ve ever done it you know it’s a special kind of pain. She’s understandably distraught. But mom is on the case. Watch how she coaches and manages her daughter’s response, giving her guidance on how to calm herself - both physically and emotionally. Take a deep breath. Say, “I’m okay.” Say, “I am strong.” Once she has her daughter talking, instead of crying (if even just barely), consider how skillfully she does what comes next. She keeps her daughter talking…extending the series of affirmations and allowing for additional time and space from the accident. Over the course of just 40 seconds mom deftly manages to shift the whole topic of the conversation. It begins with “I am hurt” and ends with “I am adored.” That’s some gold medal “momming” right there. 🥇 Never forget that as young children grow and learn, many of their most important skills abilities begin in a shared space - as partnerships with caring adults and more knowledgeable peers. Purina Is The Same Brand That Switched Their Formula Last Time We Had An Egg Shortage “I don't consider myself a conspiracy theorist, but hear me out on this one. On our farm, if you don't produce something that produces something for the farm and you're of no use to me. You're normally food. Um, so I was getting ready to replace my entire flock of about 30 chickens because they were not laying it. Freeloading on the farm is not something that you can do. I don't have the space nor the time nor the money. So for a long time, we've been feeding organic Purina, um, you know, pellets, crumbles. You can hear Larry, my rooster. And I wasn't getting anything all winter. And I would say, like, oh, it's just the winter, what have you. Then I switched over to a farmer's feed that is mostly whole grains and has some grit in it and, um, is cheaper. So we decided to try it out because I'm not willing to just say something's gonna work, Um, but he's by far cheaper than any of the feeds. We doubled production in the 1st week. This isn't a lot of eggs, but when you're getting 0, this was this this is, like, a couple of hours, and it's been snowing. So it turns out it wasn't the weather. It was absolutely the feed. And why has that become a problem more recently?

As most of you know, my daughter Taryn moved back in with me after about 15 years with her grandparents. They took great care of her, but she was ready to come home to Mom, and I’m at a place in my life where I can provide the best care and resources for her, but it’s a process filled with lots of hoops and red tape. I took Taryn to the movies the other day and it started out great. We walked there, and she was so excited and happy. Throughout the movie she was holding my hand, giving me hugs, leaning her head on me, and I remember thinking, “wow, I am so happy and grateful. My life is perfect in this moment.” Then disaster struck out of nowhere. We were in the front left row, and a Dad with his little girl were in the right front row. The movie went quiet, and Taryn could hear the little girl chewing her popcorn. Taryn developed severe Misophonia, and it’s gotten progressively worse over the last couple years. The sound of chewing sets off her fight or flight instincts, and although she tries, she has the communication and emotional regulation capabilities of a two year old. I could see her getting visibly agitated, and tried to get her to leave, even offered to take her to Mc. Donald’s if we left, and told her we could come back and finish the movie another time. She said no, that she wanted to stay. She had been looking forward to the movie for weeks, and didn’t want to leave. The movie got quiet again, and out of nowhere she jumped up and ran over to the little girl and her Dad. She tried to attack them, but the dad stopped her and I was right behind her and grabbed her. She tried to go after them again, and I grabbed her and pulled her down to the floor. I was mortified, and the fact that we were in the front row in a theater full of people made it even worse. I apologized, helped Taryn up, and started pushing her up the aisle, toward the door. All the while, she’s screaming at the top of her lungs. When I walked out, the employee behind the counter gave me a sympathetic look and whispered “it’s ok.” Of course, we had walked… Taryn screamed the whole way home. When we got home, she lost her tablet and printing privileges, leading to her punching me and then hitting herself and biting herself repeatedly, and screaming for hours but the consequences stuck. I was overwhelmed, embarrassed, and generally overstimulated, but I kept calm and stayed even throughout the entire process, somehow. The next day, I woke up to someone sending me a screenshot from a post the father made. I instantly started crying. I am so grateful to live in a community with such amazing and understanding people. All of the comments passed the vibe check. I’m also so grateful they were so understanding and am happy to report that the little girl was unfazed. Taryn had a mental health assessment last week, and meets with a licensed clinician on Monday and a case manager the following week. The clinician will be able to help make a plan to get Taryn the best care she needs, and the Case Manager will help us put it into action. This is a hard transition for all of us, but I’m so grateful to have her home and to be able to get her the help and services she needs. She isn’t a bad kid. She’s actually really funny, really smart, and super talented. She just struggles with a lot of things we take for granted. As most of you know, my daughter Taryn moved back in with me after about 15 years with her grandparents. They took great care of her, but she was ready to come home to Mom, and I’m at a place in my life where I can provide the best care and resources for her, but it’s a process filled with lots of hoops and red tape. I took Taryn to the movies the other day and it started out great. We walked there, and she was so excited and happy. Throughout the movie she was holding my hand, giving me hugs, leaning her head on me, and I remember thinking, “wow, I am so happy and grateful. My life is perfect in this moment.” Then disaster struck out of nowhere. We were in the front left row, and a Dad with his little girl were in the right front row. The movie went quiet, and Taryn could hear the little girl chewing her popcorn. Taryn developed severe Misophonia, and it’s gotten progressively worse over the last couple years. The sound of chewing sets off her fight or flight instincts, and although she tries, she has the communication and emotional regulation capabilities of a two year old. I could see her getting visibly agitated, and tried to get her to leave, even offered to take her to Mc. Donald’s if we left, and told her we could come back and finish the movie another time. She said no, that she wanted to stay. She had been looking forward to the movie for weeks, and didn’t want to leave. The movie got quiet again, and out of nowhere she jumped up and ran over to the little girl and her Dad. She tried to attack them, but the dad stopped her and I was right behind her and grabbed her. She tried to go after them again, and I grabbed her and pulled her down to the floor. I was mortified, and the fact that we were in the front row in a theater full of people made it even worse. I apologized, helped Taryn up, and started pushing her up the aisle, toward the door. All the while, she’s screaming at the top of her lungs. When I walked out, the employee behind the counter gave me a sympathetic look and whispered “it’s ok.” Of course, we had walked… Taryn screamed the whole way home. When we got home, she lost her tablet and printing privileges, leading to her punching me and then hitting herself and biting herself repeatedly, and screaming for hours but the consequences stuck.
