🩺 Order of assessment is different: 1. Inspect, 2. Auscultate, 3. Percuss, 4. Palpate 🩺 Listen to all 4 quadrants 🩺 Start in the RLQ & go clockwise 🩺 Note the Characteristic: Hypoactive: One bowel sound 3–5/min Normoactive: Gurgles 5–30/min HyperactiveL Constant bowel sounds >30 sounds per min
