I had a visitor today who seemingly was disappointed in my egg pricing. You can find $3-$5 eggs per dozen at grocery stores. Styrofoam cartons, caged chickens or the one company that really bothers me but it is what it is. I won’t name them. Our chickens are fed a diet of grains from a mill that I now have in my possession a certificate of their good standing with organic standards. This means we do pay them more for that grain that would be found in a farm that sources gmo grains. I charge $6/dozen and have since we started here because my costs have not changed for the grain inputs. Despite growing the flock to 100+, buying infrastructure via fences, running gear, automatic coop doors and much more. $6 per dozen. I am not undercutting my family anymore. To raise this quality of meat, eggs and produce, it has to be justified to the time spent in the fields, buying feed by the tonnage and generally building a business that can support these types of investments. I don’t like losing a customer - but I have to be able to look my wife and children in the eye and justify what we’re doing.

GPT-5.5 is MUCH more reliable on longer running tasks - for the first time with any model. As we speak I have a migration running for over 7+ hours - this literally never happened before, the models would maybe run for 30 mins or of you really shout at them for 2-3 hours. Last night I went to sleep, set a long running task, then queued up 10 prompts to 'keep it going'. It did not stop after the first prompt and kept going for 8+ hours and I woke up to all the same prompts still queued up. The ability to run for a long time, in combination with ability to validate with computer use & other tools, makes it much more useful for building real applications.

Just two months ago, we were on the verge of letting go of a customer that we had been serving for more than two years. The prices were super competitive as they were procuring these springs from China. According to our cost calculations, we would have to sell them these springs at our breakeven price point. We would not be making any profit from their orders. The volumes were huge and we decided to take up the challenge. In manufacturing, one of the very important metric that your product cost depends on is cycle time. The speed at which we are able to process that part within the desired tolerance. Higher the speed at which you can manufacture, lower the cost of making that component. We could only manage 150 pcs/minute on our imported machines. At this speed, it was unviable for us. It would only make sense for us to continue if we were somehow able to manufacture this spring at a minimum of 200 pcs/minute. We were far apart and it seemed we wouldn’t be able to reach that goal. We were on the verge of giving up after two years of persistent effort in increasing our speed. Today, we manufactured that same spring on the CNC machines that we built in-house at a whopping 220 pcs/minute! We went from almost letting go off that customer to now asking that very same customer to increase our order volumes! First video is our imported machine at 150 pcs/minute. The second video is our in-house machine at 220 pcs/minute.

While I support the fight for justice and rights, this movement has been too muddied up by the elements that have infiltrated it. This is no fight for #JusticeForYumn or any other justice, as we can see in this chatlog of Mooch. I am thoroughly disappointed and disgusted, Mooch. Getting harder and harder to keep an actual physical shop open,the way the club has stopped people taking bags in the ground and the extra searches we think that it’s having a massive effect on our sales,a lot of our business in the beginning was mates and locals unfortunately due to the cost and hassle of now the way it’s gone to get tickets a lot have stopped going the game,most games this season the shop has been really quiet but we have to keep it stocked the best we can,a lot of the online companies doing what we do are print to order so don’t have to keep stock hopefully things will pick back up as we love having the shop open on matchdays 👍but also we would have to weigh up the cost of running the building and upkeep so if you want to keep local business going please support them on a matchday 👍

There’s truth to this. I was in the food service for 20+ years and there’s actually a reason why this is done. We would hand out clear cups to whites so we could tell if they were actually getting water VS a soda they didn’t pay for. Whites are privileged and we refused to let them take advantage of that. We handed out red cups to the blacks because we knew they were poor and needed to steal to enjoy finer things in life. The red would hide the bubbles in a sprite or similar soda. Unfortunately we didn’t accept EBT so this was our way of saying ‘we are sorry.’ ‘You don’t have to steal here. Take a break from stealing. We know it can be exhausting.’ Just doing our part. 🫡 Hope this helps!

Another BIG WIN in court. Gov. Whitmer and MEDC just caved and agreed to return the $370 million in Democrat slush funds. They tried to shove all this waste, fraud and abuse into slush funds, and I said no way. Our Budget committee took a stand and BLOCKED it. Then the Democrats tried to sneak it out the door illegally, and I sued them to stop that. Now they finally agreed with my demand. That money is coming back to the state and we can find a much better use for it to protect the taxpayers and give them better value. Thank you to the Republicans on the House Appropriations Committee for having the backbone to take a stand and put a stop to this. Their vote to block the work project designation was valid, and the money will be put into the General Fund just as the statute requires. And just like it always should have been. I predicted this on the day we blocked all this wasteful spending back in December ⬇️

I still see regular people have no clue how we use AI to code They think it's like AI Agents and lots of hype bs But for me most of it isn't very difficult or deep or fancy but it's simply A LOT of autocompleting and prediction now Small things like this a few mins ago: Nomad List's weather API robot that pulls the weather every day to show on the site, sometimes it hits an error on the API side, and it sends that to my Telegram Then I wanna know "ok for what city is it erroring?" The moment I just put my cursor on "Bad API reply" it already knows what I want and autocompletes to "Bad API reply for city $city['name']" which will tell me for example "Bad API reply for Bangkok" Basic stuff like that saves me a lot of seconds and minutes in a day and it adds up!
